This is from ○○. I ordered Pinfenon the other day.
Thank you, Mr. Okawa, for the very kind phone call you made to me on that occasion.

My Maltese (male, 9 years old) is suffering from mitral valve insufficiency.
I bought him from a breeder, and when he was around 7 months old, he began to have trouble walking.

The veterinarian I consulted said that his difficulty walking and his teething problems were due to his having had a high fever shortly after birth and being neglected by the breeder, which led to brain damage.

From the time of that diagnosis up until this day, my dog has been unable to eat or drink, or to urinate or evacuate his bowels without my help.

The illness I mentioned at the beginning was discovered last year (July 21, 2007).
I took him to the vet because he had become listless and was told that he had pulmonary edema and might die that very day.

He has somehow been hanging on since that day and is still living.
He has been taking Pinfenon for about 10 days.

His cough has not improved, but his breathing seems a little more comfortable.
However, the rhythm/timing of his breathing is disrupted by the coughing, and that problem is becoming worse and worse.
The dosage you recommended in the beginning was 2 pills, morning and night,
Yesterday I began giving him 1 more pill at noon.
He weighs 2.8 kg, so that seems like a large amount of Pinfenon, but do you think what I am doing is all right?

I'm sorry for writing at such length, but please continue to support me.

I am looking forward to your assistance.

I have been giving him/her Pinfenon since the middle of January.
Recently I have been giving him/her 6 pills a day.

I took him/her to the vet about a week ago because of abdominal swelling, and was told that fluid has been accumulating in the abdomen.

I started giving him/her two kinds of diuretics.
Will Pinfenon make the medicines more effective?

For about two weeks now, I have been giving him/her Eferin; will that do anything for ascites?

One more thing, there has been a great decrease in that heart disease-related cough!!
I am so delighted!!

I am glad that I found Pinfenon.
Thank you.

Mr. Okawa:
This is from ○○ in Osaka.

I want to thank you so much for your kind and clear response in your phone call the other day and for sending me the Pinfenon so quickly.

I gave him/her 4 pills right away.

Thanks to you, he/she didn't cough last night and apparently slept soundly until the morning.

From now on, I plan to give Pinfenon to my beloved dog as long as he/she lives.
