Just as with humans, the problems of aging in the animal world are now receiving attention.

I found this page when I was doing a search on dementia.
We have a seventeen-year-old male Shiba Inu.

For a while, he had been exhibiting a few signs of dementia, but about 10 days ago, he began wandering aimlessly around in the house at night and howling.
As we live in an apartment building, this disturbs the neighbors, so it is very upsetting and we don't know what to do.

I got some supplements for dementia and a tranquilizer from the vet, but, if possible, I would rather avoid using the tranquilizer, so I have been searching for other solutions.

I would like to ask you if Pinfenon is effective for this type of symptom.
I consider it a supplement, not a drug, so I wouldn't expect immediate results, but if it might have good results when taken over a period of time, I would like to try it on my dog.

I'm sorry to bother you, but would you please help me with this?

My dog has dementia and was howling at night.
It has been two months since he started taking Pinfenon, and the howling and aimless wandering have gotten a little better.

He has an enlarged prostate, so I have been giving him medicine when he has problems urinating, but I have continued to give him Pinfenon in the hopes of lightening the burden on his body.
