Siberian Husky - twice recovered from respiratory arrest

We have received a question from our valued customer K., concerning Pinfenon dosage.
This is something that many customers ask about.

Please feel free to ask us about the dose when you purchase Pinfenon.

Hello.

This is from K. I often receive support from you.
Today I received the Pinfenon I ordered. Thank you.
I am contacting you today to tell you about our beloved Siberian Husky's condition and ask about the amount of Pinfenon to give him/her.

As I told you the first time I bought it, he/she is now fourteen years old.
Two months ago, he/she was hospitalized for two days because of a build-up of fluid in the lungs.
The prognosis was bad, and I ended up taking him/her out of the hospital to be nursed at home. (The treatment was steroids and antibiotics.)
At present, his/her hind legs are too weak to stand up. (His/Her front legs can move, so he/she uses them to pull himself/herself around.)
He/She has an appetite.

He/She has difficulty urinating, so I am massaging the bladder and his/her anus to stimulate evacuation.
His/Her breathing is rough all the time. (According to the vet, a tumor on the brain stem may be making it hard to adjust the body temperature.) This is not certain, as no tests have been done to determine whether or not he/she has a tumor.
Since his/her discharge from the hospital, he/she has been staying in the living room, where the temperature is controlled by an air conditioner.
When outdoors, he/she used to cough frequently, but then I brought him/her indoors and began giving him/her Pinfenon, which seems to have been responsible for stopping the coughing. For more than a month, his/her condition was stable; but about ten days ago, his/her breathing became rougher, and he/she twice experienced respiratory arrest.
I feel that Pinfenon saved his/her life.
After those episodes, a diuretic was added to his/her medications.
In addition to that, following my own judgment, I increased the Pinfenon dosage from 4 pills morning and night to 5 pills. Would that be a problem? This dog weighs around 25 kg. His/Her heart is probably rather weak, considering how old he/she is; but the vet, who viewed the brain abnormalities as more serious, did not give him/her any heart medication. I think I have Pinfenon to thank for my precious dog's being able to keep well up to now.
Right now the whole family is continuing to take care of him/her in the hope that he/she will be able to reach his/her 15th birthday next month, on September 1.
Well, this message has become rather long, but please continue to help us.

Ms./Mr./Mrs. K:

We have read your message.

Reading about how you care for your dear dog, I was reminded of my own pet, who died of cancer several years ago. Breast cancer had spread throughout his/her body.

As almost all of his/her organs had become useless, an operation was out of the question. However, I gave him/her the original ingredient in Pinfenon and, although he/she had been bedridden, for a time, he/she recovered to the point of being able to stand up.

When he/she finally died, he/she died with a smile, as if to say, "Thank you for everything!" so I feel that I helped him/her to live to the ripe old age of fifteen, his/her natural life-span.
Well, now, I don't think there is any problem with your having increased the dosage. It is probably maximizing the effectiveness of the medicine you got from the hospital and protecting your beloved dog.
I am also looking forward to celebrating his/her birthday on September 1, albeit from a distance.

Please take good care of him/her.
