Pekingese - Slipped disk and allergic dermatitis have improved! (Veterinarian's report)

Here is a report, with clinical data on Pinfenon, from Doctor Hiromi Shimazaki of the Omote Sando Pet Clinic in Sapporo, which is known for the tender care provided by its female staff.

Pinfenon S is a product for use only by veterinarians; it contains more of the active ingredient than does the Pinfenon available by mail order.

 Four-year-old male Pekingese, 5.0kg

This dog was brought to the animal hospital with a slipped disk in April of 2002, suffering from paralysis in his hind legs.

At that time, he improved after one month of such treatments as internal medication, acupuncture, and laser.

However, he came again in November of 2004 with the same paralysis of the hind legs.

The poor dog improved with the same treatments as before, but he had a breathing problem and couldn't sit still, and he suffered from a recurring cycle of constipation and overly-soft stools, etc.

We gave him medicine and one pill of Pinfenon S every morning and night, and his breathing and digestive symptoms improved. Now his back is fine, too.

Three-year-old male French Bulldog, 14,7kg

He suffered from allergic dermatitis from around the time he was one and a half years old and had reddened skin just behind his front legs, as well as both inner thighs and between the pads of his feet.

I put him on a hypoallergenic diet and treated him with antibiotics and steroids, but his condition did not fully improve.

In November of 2004, he broke out in what looked like hives all over his body, so I gave him Pinfenon S, one pill each morning and night, along with medicine and steroids. This time, his condition clearly improved.

Ever since this seeming case of hives cleared up, I have kept him on Pinfenon S, and it appears that he does not need steroids as often as before.
